Base History

We began…

YWAM Newcastle was founded in 1992 with Rod and Anne Thorpe and Dave and Carolyn Stephenson pioneering a fresh, creative "wineskin" of YWAM. Two words best describing us are evangelism and youth, with the major benchmark activities being sub-culture based evangelism.

From mobile skate parks to Auslife seminar programmes, with surf coaching and highly innovative sledge-hammers like the band Supermarket Hero, and training courses like the legendary Youth Ministry DTS.....Now Generation DTS....School of Evangelism…what would YOU like to do to reach this amazing generation?"
