| Youth With a Mission Newcastle exists to impact 12-17 year olds with the gospel message of Jesus Christ. We use an exciting combination of things like surfing, skating, music, [but you don't have to be a surfing, skating rockstar] retail, and camps. With the new addition of Youth Street there's something for everyone with a heart for young people and Youth Ministry. The staff and trainees are hungry for God in their own lives and are urgent about seeing MTV kids around the planet authentically soak up Jesus.
In addition to our strong focus in Newcastle and around Australia, we regularly send Youth Ministry teams to India, New Zealand, Japan and many other countries. In short, whether we are now young or forever younger, we're cranked about developing a crazy new wineskin of post- postmodern Church in our generation. In shorter......

Discipleship Training School (DTS)
A Discipleship Training School at YWAM Newcastle has a very distinct flavour that comes out of our love for God and Young People, and each DTS is swept along in the flurry of Urban Youth Mission activity, as a result.
In general, a DTS is an intensive foundational Christian training course for 17-35 year olds that runs for 22 weeks. Lectures are mixed in with hands on experience to give our students a balanced understanding of ministry. Our goal is for our students to learn and grow themselves, and to value the learning process so that when the opportunities for ministry come, the experiences they have had will help them to better serve and understand those they are ministering to.
